- 1.Obtain the correct Windows, macOS or Linux installer through seiwallet.io/download.
- 2.Verify the file checksum and OpenPGP signature before opening the installer.
- 3.Create the wallet in a private environment and store the recovery phrase offline.

- 1.A 0x address represents the EVM-compatible account format.
- 2.A sei1 address represents the Sei Bech32 account format.
- 3.Account association links both formats; always follow the format requested by the destination.

Keep signing authority on the connected device.
- 1.Connect the hardware device directly and unlock it locally.
- 2.Compare the transaction shown by Sei Wallet with the details on the hardware screen.
- 3.Approve on the device only when the network, recipient and amount are correct.

Verify downloads
Authenticate the installer before execution.
- 1.Confirm that the file originated from the official seiwallet.io release channel.
- 2.Calculate the file SHA-256 value and match all characters to the value for that installer.
- 3.Verify the OpenPGP signature with the official release key; reject the file if either check fails.
